Our terrific Kumu (Kathy Ralar, Kalei Jaramillo, and Rance Villarimo), along with other hula teachers in the State, have become proficient in the art of teaching hula through video conferencing. The Kumu prepare videos of themselves teaching new chants and dances and meet with the keiki in groups and individually via Zoom, every Saturday. The keiki members are doing very well and are prepared to pick up with live shows whenever that becomes possible again. Our Kumu are also providing cultural and history lessons to complement the Foundation’s program.
